In Compass, you play as a scout flying ahead of a wandering Caravan, charting a path through long-lost skies where something still stirs within the clouds.
We wanted to create a game that combines the thrill of piloting a flying craft in VR with the fantasy of exploring a world above the clouds, tied together as one cohesive adventure. That is how we ended up creating a game that blends ship-based piloting with off-ship grappling sequences.
Pilot Your Ship
In Compass, your ship is your tool for exploration and your connection to the world around you. Follow Harmony paths to gain speed, and dock with ancient structures to power them.
From the cockpit, you will cross vast open skies and decide which distant landmark to investigate next. The farther you travel into the world of Compass, the more dangerous the routes become. By installing new components and upgrading your ship, you will be able to harness Harmony energy through your engine and push deeper into the unknown.
Grapple and Explore
Not every challenge can be solved from the cockpit. Sometimes, you will have to step outside and use your hands.
With your grapples, you can swing through ruins, climb structures, activate mechanisms, and complete challenges scattered across the skies. From aboard your ship, you can also use your grapples to collect crystals and retrieve drifting crates.
A World to Discover
Every action in Compass supports one central goal: helping the Caravan complete its journey by bringing the Egg safely to its destination.
To achieve that, you will have to find your way through several regions, each with its own identity. Speed through the Greenwrecks with their lush giant vegetation, navigate the hazardous Redfields, and ascend the majestic Azure Peaks. Along the way, you will meet colorful characters and help them to gain rewards.
