How can I use Meta Live Translation?
Here’s how to start live translation:
- Just say, “Hey Meta, start live translation.” You can select the language in the Meta AI app.
- You can also start live translation from the Meta AI app by tapping the bottom left side of the screen:
- Tap Translate.
- Tap to select the languages you want to translate.
- The first time you use live translations, you’ll need to download the languages you select.
- Tap Continue.
- Tap Start.
You’ll hear a chime on your glasses to let you know live translation has begun.
What is the battery life of AI glasses?
Battery life depends on the model. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) offer up to 4 hours, while Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) supports up to 8 hours of use. Oakley Meta HSTN lasts up to 8 hours of typical use or 5 hours of continuous audio. Oakley Meta Vanguard delivers up to 9 hours of typical use or 6 hours of continuous audio.
How long can Ray-Ban Meta glasses record video?
The default video length is 3 minutes, but you can change the default length to be shorter in the Meta AI app.
To change video length:
- From the Meta AI app, tap the bottom left of the screen.
- If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust.
- Tap Device settings.
- Tap Media.
- Tap Video length.
- Tap the video length default you want.

Yes, Ray-Ban Meta glasses are compatible with both the iPhone (iOS 14.2 and above) and Android devices (Android 10 and above).

Some audio cues are also delivered visually through light indications on the inside of the frames. The glasses are also available with prescription lenses.* You can even connect with the Be My Eyes® network to get assistance from a sighted volunteer.
