Six Months of Meta Ray-Ban Display
It’s been a little over six months since we launched Meta Ray-Ban Display — our most advanced AI glasses ever built — and it’s been awesome to see the response from our community. We’ve been working hard to fulfill orders and keep shelves stocked, so if you haven’t already gotten your hands on a pair, make sure you check out available retail demo slots in the US. And for those already wearing them, things are about to get even better.
More To Do On Meta Ray-Ban Display
Designed to help people stay engaged with the world around them, the glasses represent a big step into the future of computing. And they continue to get more useful over time. We’re happy to share that several new features we previously teased are starting to roll out today on your display glasses, including:
- Now everyone will have access to neural handwriting, which will work across Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and native Android and iOS messaging.
- Display recording combines your in-lens display interactions, your view of the world, and audio into a single, ready-to-share video for friends, family, and followers.Â
- Our walking directions feature has expanded throughout the entire US, and is also available when traveling to major international cities like London, Paris, Rome, and more.
- Live captions, which transcribe speech directed at you in-person and on phone calls, are coming to WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram Direct voice.
These brand-new features round out the four major software updates we shipped since launch, all of which make the display glasses even more capable than the day they were first unboxed. We’ve added more glanceable widgets to the home screen, like Reminders, Weather, Stocks, and Calendar, enabled a faster way to get to your favorite Spotify playlists, and added Instagram Reels — all of which have become daily favorites. And Muse Spark, the first step toward personal superintelligence and the start of a new series of models purpose-built for our products, will arrive on Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses this summer.

Build for DisplayÂ
We've heard the feedback that people want us to open up access on the glasses. For the builders out there, we’ve just opened up developer preview access to Meta Ray-Ban Display. With all-new Web Apps, you can easily create a standalone experience from scratch in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that can deploy to your glasses quickly via URL. This could be games, transit tools, cooking guides, grocery lists, instrument practice, and more. And with our Wearables Device Access Toolkit, you can extend existing mobile apps onto the glasses display and add UI components including text, images, lists, buttons, and video playback. You can even build something with no technical experience using your favorite AI coding tools. You can learn more about Web Apps and our Wearables Device Access Toolkit here.

What Everyday Use is Proving Out
We built Meta Ray-Ban Display based on feedback from people who use our glasses every day, and we're seeing exactly what we hoped. Among our findings so far: the built-in display helps people share, visual Meta AI answers see higher engagement rates, and Neural Band input makes the whole experience feel effortless. Plus, the glanceable, offset display strikes the balance between staying connected and being present. It’s been great to see this feedback in actual usage and each of these signals is shaping what comes next.
A huge thank you to all early adopters who have been with us since the beginning for helping us build the future together. We can’t wait to show you more!
