How to connect your calendar to Meta AI to use on AI glasses
This feature is currently available in English in the US and Canada.
You can connect your Google Calendar and Outlook.com calendars to Meta AI to use on AI glasses from the Meta AI mobile app. Once connected, you can use your AI glasses to ask Meta AI for calendar event details, to search your calendar for events, and to add events to your calendar.
How to connect your calendar
To connect your calendar:
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap
in the top left.
- Tap
Settings at the bottom.
- Tap App connections.
- Tap the calendar you want to add.
- Tap Connect.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup. You’ll need to sign in to your account on the app you’re connecting to continue.
How to use Meta AI to access your calendar
Search your calendar for events and ask for details about events by saying things like:
- “Hey Meta, what time is my first meeting tomorrow?”
- “Hey Meta, when is my doctor’s appointment?”
- “Hey Meta, what’s the address for the party tonight?”
Summarize your schedule for a day or multiple days by saying things like:
- “Hey Meta, what does my day look like tomorrow?”
- “Hey Meta, what’s on my schedule for this weekend?”
Create calendar events by saying things like:
- “Hey Meta, add a coffee break tomorrow at 10am.”
- “Hey Meta, create an event on my Google calendar at 2pm to go for a walk for 40 minutes.”
How to turn on calendar alerts
Once you’ve connected a calendar, you can turn on calendar alerts to hear upcoming event notifications on your glasses.
To turn on calendar alerts:
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap
- Tap
- Tap Notifications.
- Tap Devices.
- Tap Calendar alerts.
- Tap the toggle next to Calendar alerts to turn this feature on.
How to disconnect your calendar
You can disconnect your calendar from Meta AI at any time, and Meta AI will no longer be able to access your calendar data
To disconnect your calendar:
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap
- Tap
- Tap App connections.
- Tap the calendar you want to disconnect below Connected.
- Tap Disconnect.
- Tap Yes, disconnect.
Notes:
- To connect your calendar to Meta AI, you must grant Meta AI permission to view your calendar data from the Meta AI mobile app.
- Your calendar data is never used to train Meta AI models. We’ll only store your most recent calendar events, like calendar events from the past few months and events coming up in the next few months. View our privacy policy.
- App connections, like Google Calendar and Outlook.com calendars, are connected at the account level. If you connect your calendar to the Meta AI mobile app before you connect your AI glasses, your glasses will have access to your calendar.
- We only notify you for calendar events you have accepted.
- If you have multiple calendars linked to your Google or Outlook.com account we can only retrieve events for calendars you have selected in Google or Outlook.
- If you connect a Google and Outlook.com calendar, events will be created in the first connected calendar.
