How to add or remove a payment method for Meta Store and Meta Horizon Store

Updated: The payment method you add to meta.com is used to purchase items on Meta Store.
The payment method you add to your Meta Horizon profile is used to buy things in the Meta Horizon Store. All of your Meta Quest devices share the same payment method.
You can add the following payment methods to your Meta account:
- Credit or debit card:
- American Express
- MasterCard
- Visa
- PayPal
- Meta Horizon Store gift card
How to manage your Meta Store payment method
How to add a payment method:
- Go to https://www.meta.com/payments, then select Add a new card.
- Enter your card information, then click Save.
How to remove a payment method:
- Go to https://www.meta.com/payments, then select Manage next to the payment method you want to remove. This will take you to Accounts Center.
- From the pop-up, select the payment method you want to remove.
- Scroll down, then select Remove card.
- Select Confirm.

How to add a payment method on the Meta Horizon Store:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Scroll down and tap Wallet.
- Tap Add a payment method.
- Select the payment method you want to add, then enter your payment information and tap Add.
How to remove a payment method:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
- Scroll down and tap Wallet.
- Tap
Options next to the payment method you want to remove.
- Tap Remove card, then tap Confirm.
Meta Pay is also synced with the Horizon mobile app and can be used to purchase apps.
How to authorize your payment method
When you buy things in the Meta Store, we send authorization requests to your bank or payment provider to verify your payment method.
If your payment method isn't being authorized, try these troubleshooting tips:
- Check to make sure you entered your payment information correctly.
- Try contacting your payment provider to find out why your payment method isn’t authorized.
- Try using a different payment method.
