Troubleshoot the Wi-Fi connection of your Meta Quest

The steps listed below are specific to Meta Quest headsets that can't connect to Wi-Fi during the initial setup process. If you're having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi after you've already set up your device, check out these post-setup Wi-Fi troubleshooting steps.

Reset Wi-Fi on your mobile phone

In your phone's settings, turn off Wi-Fi, then turn it back on.

Reboot your headset

  1. With your headset on, hold the power button on the right-hand side of your headset down until you're prompted with a shut-down screen.
  2. Select Restart.

If that doesn’t work, perform a hard reboot by holding down the power button for 30 seconds or until the device turns back on.

Set up your headset on a different network

If you are still having problems, try connecting to a different network. This could be a home network elsewhere, or a personal network powered by a mobile connection — just make sure that the phone you are using for pairing and the headset are on the same Wi-Fi network. Once you have set up your headset, try reconnecting to the previous network and see if the issue persists.
