Block your teen's access to developer mode

You can choose to allow or block your teen’s access to developer mode, which is for developers to build and test apps. This includes being able to load and use apps from a connected device or computer, which may include apps that aren’t in the Store.
If your teen has access to developer mode, this may allow them to upload and access age-inappropriate content onto their headset. You can manage this by blocking developer mode on their account. To access these settings, make sure you have parental supervision set up.
Both you and your teen need to agree to set up parental supervision, and you can remove supervision at any time.
To manage your teen’s access to developer mode on the Meta Horizon mobile app
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Tap Family Center.
- Tap on your teen’s account.
- Below Their settings, tap Safety settings.
- Tap
Toggle next to Block developer mode to allow or block.
To manage your teen’s access to developer mode in Family Center
- Go to Family Center and log in.
- Click on your teen’s account.
- Below Their settings, click Safety settings, then click
