Frequently asked questions

What are Meta Glasses?

Meta Glasses are smart glasses that let you capture photos and video, listen to music, take calls and access Meta AI – all hands-free. Available in three styles (Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury and Meta Starfire), they combine everyday eyewear design with built-in cameras, speakers and microphones. Try them at a Meta demo experience near you.

What do Meta Glasses do?

Meta Glasses let you capture hands-free photos and video, live-stream to social media, take phone calls, listen to music and interact with Meta AI using just your voice. With built-in open-ear speakers and a multi-microphone array, they're designed for seamless everyday use – whether you're commuting, working out or creating content.

What do Meta Glasses look like?

Meta Glasses look like regular, stylish eyewear. Choose from three distinct frame styles: Meta Adventurer (a classic rectangle), Meta Fury (a bold, sport-forward silhouette) and Meta Starfire (a slim oval). Available in colours such as Classic Black, Tortoise, Merlot, Racing Green and more – in both standard and large sizes to fit every face.

How to use Meta Glasses?

To use Meta Glasses, simply put them on and tap the capture button to take a photo or hold to record video. Use voice commands such as "Hey Meta" to ask Meta AI questions, get translations or control music. Swipe the touchpad on the temple to adjust volume or skip tracks. Pair with the Meta AI app to manage your content.

How to connect Meta Glasses to iPhone?

To connect Meta glasses to your iPhone, download the Meta AI app from the App Store. Open the app, create or log in to your Meta account, and follow the on-screen pairing instructions. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone. Once paired, you can manage settings, transfer photos and videos, and access Meta AI features.

How long can Meta Glasses record for?

Meta Glasses can record video clips up to 3 minutes at a time (or 1 minute for Stories). The total recording time depends on battery level and storage. A single tap on the capture button starts recording, and an LED indicator lets people nearby know the camera is active.

Are there accessibility features for visually impaired users?

Yes, Meta Glasses offer enhanced AI responses. You can ask Meta AI to read text verbatim, such as a sign or a birthday card. We've also partnered with Be My Eyes® – just say "Hey Meta, call a volunteer on Be My Eyes" to start a hands-free video call with a sighted volunteer who can assist you in real time.

What are the different lenses for Meta Glasses?

Meta glasses are available with multiple lens options: Clear lenses for everyday wear, tinted Sun lenses for outdoor use, Polarised lenses for reduced glare and Transitions lenses that adapt from clear to dark based on light conditions. Prescription (Rx) lenses are also available across all frame styles – so you can see clearly without sacrificing smart features.

How much are Meta Glasses?

Meta Glasses start at €309 for standard sun and clear lenses. Transitions lenses are available at a higher tier, and prescription (Rx) lenses can be added for an additional cost. The Meta Starfire Kylie Edition starts at €419. Explore all styles – including Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury and Meta Starfire – and compare models to find your perfect pair.

Are Meta Glasses waterproof?

Meta Glasses are water-resistant with an IPX4 rating, meaning that they can handle splashes and light rain – but they are not fully waterproof. Avoid submerging them in water or wearing them while swimming. For best performance and longevity, dry them off if they get wet and store them in the charging case.
