What do you get when you mix two parts VR sim, one part competition, and a healthy dash of expertise from a professional bartender? Odds are that compelling cocktail would look a little like Bartender VR Simulator. Previously available on App Lab, the Rift Platform, and PSVR, the game’s already attracted a loyal fan base, and now it’s bringing roughly 50% more content to Meta Quest 2 + Pro, so you can discover new bars, new game modes, and more customers to serve.

Play your way across Practice, Challenge, and Free Mode depending on what strikes your fancy. The dev studio, VR Factory, placed a heavy emphasis on authenticity and collaborated closely with six-time Bartending World Champion Tomasz Małek. His input was invaluable and informed the types of drinks, preparation techniques, and ingredients you’ll see in the game. And special 3D scanners were used to bring Małek’s equipment recommendations into the game for as much realism as possible.

As you master the art of pouring, stirring, and shaking drinks like a pro, you’ll progress to increasingly complex recipes as you serve and interact with NPCs across each bar. Choose the correct glasses, proportions, and sequences for each cocktail to earn rewards.

After earning your bartender certificate, you’ll unlock the newly added Pro Mode, which includes five new timed gameplay challenges to test your skill under pressure. You can even see how your results stack up against others on the global scoreboard.

VR Factory also added interactive music to each of the professionally equipped bars, so you can cultivate the right vibe as you sling drinks. The theme music can be changed via in-game assets like a tablet, radio, CDs, and more, helping the game achieve its retro status.

Bartender VR Simulator can be yours on Meta Quest 2 + Pro for $19.99 USD. Just remember whether your patrons want their drinks shaken or stirred.
