Primate Party: Celebrate 4 Years of ‘Gorilla Tag’

Surprise! It’s Gorilla Tag’s fourth birthday, and in celebration, developer Another Axiom is going absolutely ape. This week, you can take part in a massive one-day blowout curated just for players, transforming the world of Gorilla Tag and offering up new cosmetics, merchandise, and a live stream for fans.

The celebration starts today with the release of new limited-edition Monke merchandise. Another Axiom partnered with crowdfunding website Makeship to create new Gorilla Tag plushies, which you can pre-order throughout the month of February. Fans can order three limited-edition items as part of the festivities:the Tagged Monke Plushie, Monke Doughboi, and Monke Keychain Plushie.

The more birthday items fans order through the Makeship campaign, the more additional rewards they’ll unlock. At 10,000 birthday orders, every purchase will get a holographic sticker added. At 30,000 orders, every purchase will include a free collectible card featuring different items from the game, all with different levels of rarity. But the real prizes are the 100 rare “stick” cards—each signed by Gorilla Tag creator Lemming. And at 50,000 orders, all purchased plushies will sport a Party Banana Hat, and you’ll receive a code for an in-game version—a super-exclusive cosmetic that can’t be obtained in any other way.

The biggest bash kicks off tomorrow, February 8, in Gorilla Tag. During the one-day in-game party, you’ll find a transformed space complete with decorations and a massive birthday cake so you can party down with your Monke mates. You don’t have to jump into the jungle to take part in the fun, though. On YouTube, Makeship is hosting a “Birthday-o’thon” livestream to commemorate Gorilla Tag’s fourth anniversary, as well as Lemming’s birthday. The stream will feature a huge, exciting debut with Lemming, members of the Gorilla Tag community, along with giveaways and surprise guests all day long.

But that’s not all! When you swing into Gorilla Tag today, you have just 24 hours to grab special birthday-themed cosmetic items: a Birthday Party Hat, a Birthday Noisemaker, a Lemming’s Birthday Badge, and a Lemming’s Birthday Cupcake, as well as a new birthday-themed Monke Block.

While the in-game Gorilla Tag event is on February 8, the celebration extends throughout the rest of the month. You’ll be able to grab new in-game cosmetics starting on February 7, including a Lemming Squishy Toy, a Lemming Windup Toy, and a 4th Anniversary Badge.
