Meta Horizon Worlds v100 is here! This week’s update features seven bug fixes, including one related to the recent Sound Recorder gizmo changes, as well as a couple that impact Avatars and how they show up in worlds.

Bug Fixes

General

  • We fixed a bug that was causing the “visit world” button to become stuck in a loading state within the world Info panel.
  • We addressed an issue in which people who joined a world while someone was in their safe zone remained invisible and muted after the person exited their safe zone.
  • We fixed a bug in which Avatars weren’t loading after returning to a world from Avatar editor.
  • The team addressed issues impacting Avatar movement throughout worlds to ensure movement remains smooth and continuous.
  • Some people were seeing an empty screen upon arrival to Welcome Island—this has been fixed.

Creators

  • The recent updates to the Sound Recorder gizmo had an unintended impact on existing gizmos in worlds, inflating the world’s sound capacity and causing issues with editing and publishing worlds. We’ve addressed this issue to ensure sound capacity is measured correctly.
  • The dropdown menu for particleFX preset was previously missing, but we’ve now fixed this.

Known Issues

General

  • There are some performance issues occurring in Venues (choppy, lag, low audio quality, etc.)—when close to a crowd, some people are experiencing dropped frames when they move around quickly.
  • Custom world doors aren’t showing up correctly in Arcade and instead displaying the default door visual.
  • The world image displayed on your wearable for personal space is showing an old version.
  • People are unexpectedly getting kicked back into their home world while exploring other worlds.

Creators

  • Colors disappear from entities in some worlds when the user moves far away.
  • Dynamic lighting isn’t working in some published worlds.
