Meta Horizon Worlds v103 Release Notes

Meta Horizon Worlds V103 is here! In V103, we’re testing out some new features that make it easier to join your connections in worlds, such as invite codes and offline invitations. We also simplified the process for editing rules in your personal space, so your friends always know how to act when they drop by.
Joining Friends Made Easy
We’ve been working on some updates to the menu, which make it easier to connect with others in Meta Horizon Worlds.
- You are now able to see which connections are online and, in some cases, which world they are exploring. Then, with two clicks, you can easily join them in that world or start a party together.
- We are starting to test new features, available now to a limited audience, to help you jump into worlds with friends faster. Invite Codes: Generate and share invite codes while in a world instance or after creating a closed instance. For more information about Invite Codes, check out this article.
- Offline invitations: Invite friends to join you in a party or world, even if they are not actively in Horizon Worlds. Sending an invite will prompt a push notification to the Meta Quest app on their mobile device (if enabled) and by clicking “Launch in VR”, when they put their headset on, they will automatically be transported directly to you.

Quality of Life Improvements
Creators
- We have streamlined the design and workflow for setting rules in your closed spaces, such as personal space. You can now add, edit, and remove rules directly from the world details page and the invitation and acceptance of these rules have been combined so that people can promptly travel to your Home World upon accepting your invite.

Bug Fixes
General
- There was a bug preventing notifications from being sent when someone followed another person. This has now been fixed.
- Fixed an issue where the confirmation dialog would not appear after blocking someone, even though the person was blocked.
Creators
- Fixed a bug where changing a world's name when publishing a world is not immediately reflected in the published world detail page.
- Fix a bug where objects cannot be animated in Build Mode (recording the animation would silently fail).
- Fixed an issue that caused assets to become unresponsive if the world was stopped while they were loading.
- The Blank world template took some PTO. The template has returned after some rest, and creators should now see the Blank world template as an option again.
Known Issues
General
- People are getting unexpectedly kicked back into their home world while exploring in other worlds.
- Colors are disappearing from entities in some worlds.
- For some people, the left raycast controls the right raycast location on menus.
Creators
- "Move to" codeblock is not working for some objects that have sub-groups that are animated and published.
- Collision Events from a player’s head are not working in Visit Mode, even though they work correctly in Preview Mode.
