Meta Horizon Worlds v104 Release Notes

Meta Horizon Worlds v104 is here! In v104, we’re introducing some updates to world capacity calculations for Particle FX, and fixes to several issues related to travel, doors and music.
Streamlining Particle FX Capacity
This week we’re reintroducing capacity measurement for Particle FX, but at a much lower and more accurate cost per effect than when we initially tested these measurements in January. Particle FX have always had an impact on a world’s performance, just as any other object would, but this impact wasn’t previously factored into a world’s overall capacity limit. This change will help to ensure worlds are more performant and provide a positive and comfortable visitor experience across the board.

In some cases, creators may find their worlds are now over capacity, particularly if their worlds use several Particle FX or were at or near the capacity limit prior to v104. If your world is over capacity, it will still be discoverable and work in its current state, but you won’t be able to publish new updates until the capacity is brought below the limit.
