Meta Horizon Worlds v105 Release Notes

Meta Horizon Worlds v105 is here! This week, we launched new active status settings to give you more options on how you want to show up to your connections and made an update to the Sliding movement to smooth out the experience of going over bumps and stairs.

Choose how social you want to be

We recently made it easier to meet up and connect with friends through updates to the Meta Horizon Worlds menu. Now, with the launch of new active status settings, you can decide how social you want to be and choose whether to show your active status or current world location to your connections.

  • Show you’re active: Toggle on active status to let your followers know when you're in Meta Horizon Worlds.
  • Show your world location: Toggle on to let the people you follow back know what public world or event you are visiting. If you toggle off active status, your world location will automatically turn off, too.

You can update these settings anytime, so you can decide if and when to let your connections know about your current activity.

Quality of Life Improvements

General

  • We added a feature to sliding movement to smooth out abrupt vertical camera movement when moving over bumps and stairs. This feature defaults to “On” and can be disabled in Settings -> Gameplay -> “Smooth Out Bumps.”

Bug Fixes

General

  • We fixed an issue that caused the confirmation dialog to not appear after blocking someone.

Creators

  • We fixed a bug that caused delayed events that were sent to players not to be received.

Known Issues

General

  • For some people, the left raycast controls the right raycast location on menus.

Creators

  • Collision Events from a player’s head are sometimes not working in published worlds in Visit Mode, even if they seem to work in Preview Mode.
