Meta Horizon Worlds v108 is here! This week, we’re beginning to test new ways to share your experiences in Worlds with others and introducing some improvements to Safe Zone.

Share Your Experiences to Instagram and Facebook Stories

Get your camera ready! Today, we’re starting to test the ability to share photos and videos from Worlds to Instagram and Facebook Stories. As we’re still testing this feature, it’s currently only available to about 50% of people. We hope to expand to more people throughout the month of May.

To share to Stories, hop into the Media Gallery, select one or more images or videos, then open the share icon, select Instagram or Facebook Stories as a sharing destination, and click share. You can also use the Horizon Camera to share a picture you’ve just taken by tapping the sharing icon, selecting your sharing destination, and clicking share. We hope that sharing to Stories is fun and easy, and we can’t wait to see what you create!

Take a Break in Safe Zone

We’ve started testing an updated version of Safe Zone to make it easier to take a break in Worlds.

• Pause: When you select your shield icon, you’ll now see more of the details of the world you're in, including everyone in it, but all activity will appear paused.
• Unpause: When you’re ready to hop back in, select your shield icon again to unpause all of the activity around you. Some people may have moved while you were taking a break, but you’ll still be in the same place.

There are two new features you can access from within Safe Zone when you’ve paused your experience:

• View someone’s profile and take quick action: You can view someone’s full profile by hovering over their name tag or going to nearby people. You can still report, mute, or block someone to address an unwanted situation, and you can also send thanks if someone helped make your experience great.
• Access your full menu: The full menu is now available if you want to visit the people tab, travel to a new place, or adjust your settings by hitting your menu button.

• Improved performance and reliability of asset spawning in Visit Mode, which should improve spawn times.

Known Issues

General

• The loading screen doesn’t display text when visiting from a link or loading in from the Meta Quest app.

Creators

• Some creators are experiencing a red ring and “save failed” notification while building, and they’ll need to exit their world and re-enter to continue building.
