Meta Horizon Worlds v127 Release Notes
Meta Horizon Worlds v127 is here! It’s a light week coming off the launch of Citadel, with some improvements and bug fixes.
Quality of Life Improvements
General
- Portals are now closed if and when the person who opened them is subsequently blocked.
Creators
- We made improvements to performance when in Build Mode and broadcasting world events.
Highlighted Bug Fixes
Here are some highlighted bug fixes for this week’s release.
General
- We fixed an issue where player nametags were being incorrectly offset above the avatar.
Creators
- We addressed an issue where some collaborator controllers seemed disconnected/disembodied from the person using them while in Build Mode.
Select Known Issues
Here are some of the known issues the Worlds team is currently investigating.
General
- Some portals are spawning quite high above the player who spawned them, making them difficult to use.
- Nametags are getting hidden by the Avatar Mirror Wall when some people attempt to edit their nametag in their home world. A workaround can be achieved with the following steps:
- Use the Menu button on the left controller to close the Horizon Menu
- Back further away from the Avatar Mirror Wall
- Use raycasting to press the “Edit Nametag” button (instead of attempting to press the button with your avatar’s hand)
Creators
- Scaling an object really small on one axis while grouped makes the object jump to world origin.
- Imported assets are spawning very large.
- Changing an object’s color via the Property Panel changes the object’s material to plastic if that object’s material was previously set to unlit or glow.
- Creators will notice that when spawning an asset via a script, if they update that asset the script still spawns the original asset. This bug will be rolled back in a future release. In the meantime, if you want to use the updated asset, you can re-drag the asset references to the script variable to update.
