Meta Horizon Worlds v135 is here! This week’s update fixes a few bugs related to voice settings and, for world builders, event triggers misfiring and gameplay tag issues. Fans of MMA and the NBA should also keep an eye out for a couple new worlds launching soon.

The Ultimate Fan Experiences Are Coming

Launching on Friday, MMA fans will be able to get closer to the Octagon™ with the launch of UFC Journey. This new world will feature a 180-degree screen offering an octagonside viewing experience to watch live and past fights, along with games to test your striking, blocking, and coordination skills. Earn points and achieve the rank of Hall-of-Famer, unlocking exclusive avatar rewards along the way. UFC Journey is the place to connect with friends and other fans around a shared passion for the sport.

For basketball fans, you can jump into the NBA Arena 2.0 to play fun mini-games and earn rewards, sport your team’s colors with exclusive avatar merchandise, and connect with fellow NBA fans. This season, all 52 live NBA games are now presented in immersive 180 VR, giving fans a courtside experience from the comfort of their own homes and a connection to the community of NBA fans in NBA Arena 2.0.

Both UFC Journey and NBA Arena 2.0 bring an exciting opportunity to play fun games, connect with fellow fans, earn rewards, and watch immersive games and matches live in Worlds.

Highlighted Bug Fixes

Here are some highlighted bug fixes for this week’s release.

General

  • We fixed an issue where people who had enabled the “Nearby” or “People you know” voice setting couldn’t be heard by others around them. Now these voice settings will behave as intended.

Creators

  • The OnPlayerEnterAFK event now also fires when a player disconnects and/or enters safe mode.

Select Known Issues

Here are some of the known issues the Worlds team is currently investigating.

General

  • Controller triggers don’t always fire code events if both are clicked at the same time. Creators should take note so that they don't rely on this functionality for anything major in their worlds (e.g., to start a round of a game).
  • When the user rotates the controllers in their physical hand, the avatar hand rotates continuously.

Creators

  • The “when object detaches from player” codeblock doesn’t fire in some cases.
