Meta Horizon Worlds v136 Release Notes
Meta Horizon Worlds v136 is here! In this week’s release, we’re rolling out a test for some people of an updated look and feel for the Horizon Menu. And for creators, we tweaked the anchor positioning for head attachments and fixed a physics bug in the editor that prevented creators from selecting items. Take a look at the full release notes below.
Quality of Life Improvements
General
- Starting today, we’ll be rolling out an experiment featuring a new look and feel for the Horizon Menu. This update will allow you to better preview and edit your Avatar with a mirror, while also making it easier to access your Horizon Worlds items all in one place. People in the small test group will notice that the “Home” button has been removed during the test. However, everyone will still have access to personal space by typing “home” in search. We’re excited to test this new update and hope to roll it out to more people soon.
Creators
- We made a small adjustment to the head attachment anchor point position to make it perfectly aligned with the player’s head.
- We removed a bad 0.007 x-axis positional offset, so the anchor point position is now properly centered.
- We made a small rotational change along the y/z axis so it’s perfectly aligned (z axis +8°, y axis -8°).
Highlighted Bug Fixes
Here are some highlighted bug fixes for this week’s release.
Creators
- We fixed a bug where physics sometimes stopped working and creators couldn’t select anything in certain worlds.
Select Known Issues
Here are some of the known issues the Worlds team is currently investigating.
General
- Controller triggers don’t always fire code events if both are clicked at the same time. Creators should take note so that they don’t rely on this functionality for anything major in their worlds (e.g., to start a round of a game).
- When the user rotates the controllers in their physical hand, the avatar hand rotates continuously.
Creators
- The “when object detaches from player” codeblock doesn’t fire in some cases.
