Meta Horizon Worlds v149 Release Notes
Updated February 15, 2024:
Meta Horizon Worlds v149 is here! This week, we’re giving people the ability to file an appeal when restrictions are placed on their profile for suspected Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences violations. We’ve also bashed some bugs that were affecting creators.
Quality of Life Improvements
General
- You can now appeal profile restrictions
You can now submit a request for Meta to review suspected violations and restrictions placed on your profile. Go to Account Status to view any restrictions added to your profile for Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences violations. You can submit your review request via the link provided in the warning or notice of suspension email. - Social feature restrictions for Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences violations
Most code of conduct violations in Worlds will now result in your microphone being temporarily muted. Additionally, you could temporarily lose access to some Quest features including chats, groups, and calls, along with loss of access to Worlds. Severe or continuous violations may result in your Horizon profile being disabled along with your Meta account. - We’re testing a new feature that will begin appearing in your Meta Horizon Home: a portal to Meta Horizon Worlds. The portal will make it easier for you to hop in and spend time with family and friends playing hit games like Super Rumble or tuning into concerts like Doja Cat.
Highlighted Bug Fixes
Here are some highlighted bug fixes for this week’s release.
Creators
- The PlayerWorldEnter event should be more stable now when the world is reset/restarted. There could be other issues at runtime after the game is played for five to 10 minutes, and we’ll continue to monitor and work on them.
- The custom UI panel size bounding box will no longer reset after the world is paused and restarted.
- We fixed a bug that could cause the suggested minimum player count to be displayed incorrectly in World Builder.

General
- The friends list in the menu doesn’t always load correctly for some people.
- Dynamic lights aren’t always showing correctly for new players joining a world.
Creators
- Some creators are experiencing issues grabbing the “blue pill” for an asset to assign it within script properties.
