So many of the apps that integrate AI chatbots with VR feel dystopian and designed to exploit human loneliness. This app is the opposite as if not only helps facilitate a version of social learning, but also has chatbots that are well trained and resourceful in responding to questions or challenges. The capacity of this app is endless as it can be used to generate ideas, talk through theoretical problems, improve linguistic competency, get useful summaries of your ideas spoken back to you, or you can just use it for its advertised use case of practicing public speaking and presentations. I honestly believe the way this app is marketed sells its potential short when it's arguably better understood as a brainstorming and debate app than a rehearsal app. Using with students starting next semester.

As a learning institution in Australia, we needed a versatile app related to ESL and VET content. Ovation’s trailblazing use of GenAI offers seamless, hyper-realistic communication with AI-driven avatars that are capable of what some would call “instantiation” — multiple AI characters communicating and processing information with you and with each other. We were blown away by how much we’ve learned just by simply listening to and interacting with a couple of them!
The app is multimodal, multiplatform, and supports multiplayer scenarios, creating a unique learning experience. Our students and staff have improved language proficiency, gained confidence, and reduced speaking anxiety. Furthermore, Ovation’s customizable features also enhance reading and listening, providing instant transcript and AI-based performance evaluation. Reviews across publications confirm its superiority over other similar apps. Ultimately, based on our research and experience, we believe that Ovation is the best choice for our learners!

I downloaded the app with low expectations but it really blew my mind. It has everything you need to practise pitching and the QAs from AI characters are just something else. Keep the good work, glad to see apps covering real people needs coming to this space.

I bought this to help my Autistic daughters with social anxiety. We homeschool so I've added it in as the way they can do presentations and practice public speaking. Our eldest (13yrs) is terrified of this. When I first put her in it, she took one look at the people sitting on the chairs (avatars), ran to the back of the auditorium, and tried to wrench the doors open. They don't open so she had to stay in the room. With some help from me to calm down she started to wander around. She began to wander the room, look at the people, poke faces and be silly, occasionally ran behind the tv or other things in the room and then cautiously came out. Once she relaxed she was able to talk in the room, look in other rooms and try some options. She attempted some 30 second fun topics. We haven't tried our own presentations yet but we are working up to using all the options.
I am also a child Therapist and look forward to using this in my work with other kids with similar challenges.
It's a great app. Looking forward to seeing where they progress it. More movement from the audience and control over their reactions would be great for tailoring it for people's experiences and anxiety levels. More environments would be nice too.
Definitely recommend this.
