There’s a new way to create with Quill! Quill has returned to its original roots under the ownership of founder Inigo Quilez and his company Smoothstep. Please visit Quill by Smoothstep’s website at Quill.art to learn more about Quill by Smoothstep, which is now available in the Oculus Store.
Starting October 18, 2021, the Quill app will be removed from the Oculus Store and won’t be supported or updated by Oculus. While creators can continue to use their existing Quill app after this date, they’ll no longer be able to directly upload to Oculus Media Studio from Quill. Instead, they’ll need to manually upload to Oculus Media Studio. Quill-generated content uploaded through Quill will continue to be available via Oculus Media Studio.
The Quill Theater app will remain available on Oculus Quest and Quest 2, but will be rebranded as VR Animation Player on October 18, 2021. Quill-generated content uploaded to Oculus Media Studio or published to Oculus TV prior to or after October 18, 2021
