Learn more about Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses
To learn more about Meta AI and the AI experiences we’re introducing across Meta, visit https://ai.meta.com/genai/.
Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses is a powerful tool that can help you stay informed and get things done hands-free while you're on-the-go. With Meta AI, you can ask general questions and receive audio responses, or take images and ask questions about the contents of the images.
What you can do with Meta AI
With Meta AI, you can ask a wide range of questions and receive helpful responses. For example, if you're cooking for a group of friends, you could ask "Hey Meta. I'm grilling scallops, corn on the cob, and burgers. How long should I cook each of them?" You could even follow up with "Hey Meta. What salad goes well with that?"
We are constantly working to expand the types of questions you can ask and improve the product experience based on feedback and usage.
Meta AI on your glasses allows you to ask questions about the world around you. You can also take an image, either by voice or by using the capture button, and within a few seconds say "Hey Meta…" to ask a question about the image.
For example, say “Hey Meta, tell me what you see” to get a description of the world around you. You can also say "Hey Meta, look and..." to ask Meta AI to take a photo to use in its response. You could ask Meta AI for the English translations of a sign you're looking at in Italian, what's the name of the houseplant you're looking at, or to write a funny caption for the photo you just took of a dog chasing its own tail. How information is processed when you use Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses
When you use Meta AI we process data from the interaction with AI on Meta’s servers to respond to your request. This data includes voice recordings, voice transcripts, images, and related data (such as the hardware version of your glasses and the length of audio related to your request). After processing, Meta AI will deliver an audio response on your glasses, and you will be able to review your request, the image, and the response in the Meta View app. Meta AI may use the contents of images to understand the location of the scenery and provide more relevant responses. For instance, if you ask Meta AI a question about a landmark you’re looking at, Meta AI may understand where that landmark is located and provide you with related information.
All images processed with AI, voice transcripts, and related data are stored and used to improve Meta products and will be used to train, improve, and refine Meta's AI models with help from trained reviewers. Processing with AI includes the contents of your images, like objects and text. This information will be collected, used and retained in accordance with Meta's Privacy Policy. Learn more about how we use information to train our generative AI models.
We may also share data, including images, transcripts, and related data, with trusted third parties to complete your request, in which case the privacy policies of those third parties may also apply. Learn more about how Meta AI works with trusted third parties.
When you allow your voice recordings to be stored, we also use voice recordings to improve Meta products. This includes using machine learning and trained reviewers to process voice recordings to improve, troubleshoot, and train Meta products, and we may share that information with certain third parties for product improvement. We may also share stored data for law enforcement purposes or as otherwise required by law.
