Update the software on your Meta Portal

Your Meta Portal software will update automatically when connected to Wi-Fi and turned on. You can also manually update the software on your Meta Portal in Settings.
To manually update the software on your Meta Portal, Meta Portal Plus or Meta Portal Mini:
- From Home, tap to open Settings

- Tap About.
- Tap Check for Updates.
Note: If an update is required, your Meta Portal will automatically start downloading the new software. You will be prompted to restart your Meta Portal once the download is complete. If your Meta Portal’s software is up to date, tap Done.
To update the software on your Meta Portal TV:
- From Home, select Settings
- Select About.
- Select Check for Updates.

If your Meta Portal’s software is up to date, select Back.
In order to make sure your Meta Portal software updates automatically:
- Ensure your Meta Portal is turned on and connected to Wi-Fi when leaving your Portal idle.
- Allow your Meta Portal to remain idle for up to 1 hour to ensure it updates to the latest software version.
