About Pocket
Pocket is an app from Meta where you can create, share and discover gizmos with friends. A gizmo is an interactive, playable AI-generated experience. You can interact with gizmos created by others, or create your own using text prompts.
To use Pocket, you'll need to sign in with an existing Meta account or create a new one. Learn how to create a Pocket profile here.
Interacting with a gizmo on Pocket
You can interact with gizmos directly in your Feed on the Pocket app. To begin, follow the instructions on the gizmo itself or tap the gizmo.
There are a few ways that you can play with a gizmo depending on the type of activity, such as:
- Tapping, swiping or dragging items on your screen.
- Tilting or shaking your mobile device to control movement within the gizmo.
- Listening to music and sound effects while you interact.
- Using your camera (if you've given Pocket access to your camera). You can choose to save photos from some gizmos to your phone.
- Using your microphone, so you can speak (if you've given Pocket access to your microphone).
Your interactions with gizmos on Pocket will be used to improve AI at Meta.
Creating a gizmo on Pocket
You can create your own gizmo just by typing what you want to create. Then, Pocket uses AI to generate an interactive experience. When you post a gizmo, you can also choose whether to allow other people on Pocket to remix it, which lets them put their own spin on your gizmo and post their remixes.
- Open the Pocket app.
- Tap
Create at the bottom.
- Describe the experience that you want to create. The more specific you are with your description, the better the result.
- Tap
Next.
- Toggle
Allow remixing on or off.
- Tap Post.
You can share your creation on Pocket or directly share a link with friends. People that you share a link with don't need to download the Pocket app to view it.
If you allow remixing, anyone will be able to remix your post and its media, and share remixes on, across and off Meta Products. Deleting your post won't delete existing remixes.
How Meta uses your information on Pocket
When you sign in to Pocket with your Meta account, your account information is used to personalise your experience and keep you safe. We use your information in accordance with Meta's Privacy Policy.
Data from your Meta account that is used for Pocket can include:
- Your login details
- Your account ID
- Your name and username
- Your profile information, such as your profile picture and bio
- Your age
- Your account status relating to intellectual property violations and instances of going against our Community Standards
Note: Information relating to your Pocket profile will be processed in accordance with Meta's Privacy Policy. The Meta Terms of Service apply to your use of Pocket.

- Depending on your prompt, the content generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated content on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards. If you share generated content that goes against our standards, your content may be removed and your account may be restricted or disabled.
