The status LED is a light on the inside of the glasses that you can see by glancing up and to the right. Outside of Garmin workouts, the light is used for general system information. If you set a primary Intensity Target for your Garmin workout (examples: heart rate zone, pace), the LED will stay off while you are on-target and will shine red when you are outside the target range.

To use this feature, you’ll need a compatible Garmin device with the Meta AI Data Field installed connected to the Meta AI mobile app.

How to configure status LED for Garmin workouts

The status LED can be used for any Garmin workout with a set Intensity Target. You can set an Intensity Target by creating or editing a workout in the Garmin Connect app and syncing it to your Garmin device, or by choosing from daily suggested workouts on certain Garmin devices that have an Intensity Target pre-set. The status LED cannot be configured during a workout, so be sure to set your Intensity Target before your workout. Learn more in the Garmin help center.

If you no longer want to use the status LED with Garmin workouts, you can disable the connection from the Meta AI mobile app.

If the status LED does not shine red when you are off-target during a Garmin workout, ensure you have your glasses connected to your phone, the Meta AI mobile app is open on your phone, and the Meta AI Data Field on your Garmin device shows as connected (the glasses icon does not have a slash through it).
