Ray-Ban Meta glasses Virtual Try-On privacy notice
Virtual Try-On is an augmented reality feature that allows you to visualize how our eyewear products look on you without having to physically try them on. It includes 3D renders of our various eyewear products and styles that track your face as you move around, as well as other interactive digital experiences. You can use this feature on your phone, computer or other camera-equipped mobile devices.
Information we use to make Virtual Try-On work
When you use the Virtual Try-On feature, we need to accurately track your position and movements to show the renders of the eyewear products in the right place in your camera, photos and videos. For example, we need to make sure the size of the glasses are rendered realistically relative to your face and your distance from the camera. We also need to make sure the rendered glasses stay on top of your nose bridge as you move your face side to side, or up and down.
To do this, we estimate the location of parts of your face (like your eyes, nose or mouth) and points on your face and eyes. We apply these points to a generic model of a face and adjust it to improve the realism of the 3D eyewear renderings on your face. This information is not used to identify you.
What we do with this information
This information is used only for the session of the try-on and is discarded once the session concludes. It is not stored on our servers or your device and it is not shared with third parties.
