If your content goes against our Community Standards, we may hide it from others or remove it. If we hide or remove your content, we’ll also notify you so you can better understand the reason. Depending on what policy the content went against, and if you have a history of posting content that goes against our Community Standards, your account may also be restricted or disabled.
We’ll let you know when something you posted goes against our Community Standards. You’ll receive a notification on the Meta AI app or on the Meta.ai website.
As much as we can, we'll reference which part of the Community Standards you didn't follow, as well as a brief description of why the content isn't allowed, so you can avoid having content removed in the future.
If you believe that we made a mistake in removing your content, you can request a review by selecting the notification, then selecting Request review. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Most of the time when you go against our Community Standards, you will first receive a warning. If you go against our Community Standards again, you may lose access to some features on Meta AI. If we remove multiple pieces of content from your profile within a short period of time, we’ll place a short-term restriction on your profile. However, if we remove additional content that goes against the Community Standards in the future, you will continue to receive additional restrictions.
Most of the time when you go against our Community Standards multiple times, we'll disable your Meta account. For example, we disable accounts created to get around our restrictions, or accounts that post content tied to severe safety risks. In some cases, we will disable your account after a high severity issue, as in the case of posting child sexual exploitation. We also disable some accounts as soon as we become aware of them, such as those of dangerous individuals, convicted sex offenders, and in instances where people misrepresent their identity.
If we disable your Meta account, we notify you that the account has been disabled from Meta AI for going against our Community Standards. We also let you know whether you can request a review if you believe that we made a mistake.
