Your Meta Quest Pro is equipped with two types of status display lights (LEDs).
The display light located on the arm of your Meta Quest Pro lets you know the status of the headset, including its battery charge state.
Display light color | What it means |
White | Headset on |
Purple | Factory Reset |
Green | Fully Charged |
Yellow/Orange | Charging |
Red | Trickle Charge |
Meta Quest Pro uses outward-facing sensors to enable features like Passthrough. We want people nearby to know when these sensors may detect them, so we’ve built display lights into the headset that turn on any time these external sensors are in use.
White display light: Any time the external sensors on your Meta Quest Pro are active, the display light on the front of your headset will illuminate in white. The white display light lets those around you know that your headset’s sensors may detect them while observing your physical environment for safety and immersion in different experiences. This white display light will also illuminate when your Touch Pro controllers are in use.
Blue display light: If you choose to enable Passthrough, a light on the front of your headset will illuminate in blue to alert those around you that they may appear in your display and that you may be able to see them even while wearing your headset.
Keep in mind, the display lights on your Meta Quest Pro are there for your privacy, as well as the privacy of those around you. They are designed so that malicious software can’t disable the light remotely, and can’t be turned on or off on the physical headset either
