Get clothing and accessories for your Meta Avatar on the Meta Horizon app
The Avatar Editor offers free and premium items made by Meta, Meta Partners and Meta Horizon creators. You can get these items using Meta Credits and add them to your closet to personalize your avatar’s style.
To get new clothing and accessories for your avatar:
- From your Meta Quest headset, select your profile photo then select Edit avatar.
- Under Style, select Tops, Bottoms, and other options to explore and try on clothing items.
- Select the item you want to try on. You can see more details or check out the item directly from your bag.
- Use Meta Credits to purchase an item.
- Select Save to update your avatar after your purchase is complete.
- You can find all your purchased items in the Avatar Closet.
Your new items will be applied to your avatar automatically. You can view and change your clothing at any time in your closet.

Who makes the items shown in the Avatar Editor?
The Avatar Editor features some originals made by Meta and items created by our community of creators.
Some items do not fit well and appearance looks odd after purchasing. How can I return an item?
Currently, you cannot return an item you’ve purchased from the Avatar Editor. Learn more in the Meta Horizon Digital Items Terms.
I purchased an item but I am not sure where to find it again?
Purchased items will be stored in your closet. You can access the closet by navigating to the appropriate section in the Avatar Editor.
I purchased an Avatar item but it’s not in my closet anymore.
If an item is missing from your closet, it may be due to a technical issue. Learn how to report a bug on Meta Quest and the Meta Horizon mobile app.
Can I purchase clothing items outside of the Avatar Editor?
Yes. Many of the clothing items in the Editor are also available for purchase in Worlds.
Can I report an item that I believe is inappropriate?
Yes, you can report inappropriate items using the in-editor reporting tool.
