You can use Bluetooth 3.0 Class 2 game controllers, such as Xbox Wireless Controllers, with your Meta Quest by pairing it with your headset in Settings.

To connect a gamepad to your Meta Quest:

  1. Press Meta button or Oculus button on your right controller to open the Navigator.
  2. Select Quick controls.
  3. Select Settings, then select Devices.
  4. Select Gamepad, then select Bluetooth settings next to Manage Bluetooth settings.
  5. Turn your gamepad on and put it into pairing mode.
  6. Select Pair when your gamepad shows up in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
  7. Select Pair again to confirm that you want to pair this gamepad to your headset.

When your device is successfully paired, it will appear in the list of Paired devices.

Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)

If your controller inputs aren’t being detected by the Xbox app, check that the gaze cursor for gamepad setting isn’t enabled. Visit Settings > Devices > Gamepad and check that the toggle next to Use the gaze cursor is turned off.

The Xbox Wireless Controller included with Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition is already paired to the Meta Quest 3S headset that is in the box. If you need to re-pair the controller or pair it to a different headset, follow the instructions above.
