Manage requests to join your members-only world in Worlds

Members-only worlds are membership-based communities where like-minded people can come together and enjoy a shared experience. In order to join a members-only world, you must be sent an invite by a member of the world, or you must request to join a world and have your request approved by a creator or admin.

When a members-only world is set to visible, people can discover the world and request to join as a member. When someone requests to join a members-only world, the world creator receives a notification in Worlds. Creators and admins can select this notification to review pending membership requests. They can also view these requests from the Manage people menu.

To respond to requests to join the members-only world:

  1. From Worlds, press Menu button on your left Touch controller to open the Worlds menu.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Hover over the members-only world, and select Information to open the world details page.
  4. Select Manage people, then select Invites to display all pending membership requests to join the world.
  5. Review each request by selecting the avatar image. From here, you can choose to view the person’s profile and accept or deny their request to join the world.

When a request to join is accepted, that person will receive a notification and become a world member. They will be able to visit the world with other members.

If the request is declined, that person will receive a notification and not become a world member or be able to access the world. They will continue to have the option to resubmit requests to join the world.
