We encourage you to talk with your teens about ways they can feel safer, including:

  • Keep personal boundary and voice channel turned on.
  • Keep their active status settings turned off so that no one can see if they’re active or what public world or event they’re visiting.
  • Reporting, blocking and muting people who make them uncomfortable.
  • Never sharing private information, such as name and location, with people they don’t know.
  • Ignore or delete invites or requests to follow from people they don’t know or feel comfortable around.
  • Connecting with a parent or guardian on the Meta Horizon mobile app to access supervision tools.
