Change the audience of your posted prompt or delete your prompts on Meta AI

The Meta AI app and www.meta.ai website is not yet available everywhere. If the Meta AI app and www.meta.ai website are available for you, some features may not yet be available in your area.
You can change your posted prompt’s audience to be visible to only you or delete your prompts on the Meta AI app. If you set the audience of your prompt to be visible to only you, you can reshare it later.
To set the audience of your prompt to only you or delete your posted prompt
- In the Meta AI app, tap
at the bottom to see your prompt history.
- Tap the prompt you’d like to change.
- Tap
in the top right.
- Tap
Make visible to only you or
Delete.
If you make a prompt visible to only you, any replies other people added to that prompt will be kept. People who left replies on your prompt won’t be able to see them while your prompt is visible to only you. If you reshare your prompt, replies to your prompt will also be reshared.
You can reshare your prompt by tapping
You can delete a private prompt by going to your history, then swiping left on the prompt you’d like to delete.
If you had a voice conversation with Meta AI, deleting the prompt will also delete any recorded voice data from that conversation.
You can also make all of your prompts visible to only you or delete all of your prompts on Meta AI.
To make all your prompts visible to only you
- In the Meta AI app, tap
at the bottom.
- Tap your profile picture in the upper right, then tap
Data & privacy.
- Tap Manage your information.
- Tap Make all prompts visible to only you, then tap Apply to all.
To delete all your prompts
- In the Meta AI app, tap
- Tap your profile picture in the upper right, then tap
- Tap Manage your information.
- Tap Delete all prompts, then tap Delete all.
After deleting your prompts you may still see them in your history until you refresh or restart the Meta AI app. To refresh your history, tap

- Other information from your profile like your age and gender, and interests based on your activity across our products, such as the types of content, including ads, you view or interact with and how you interact with it, may be used to help personalize your interactions with AI. You can also see how information is used across your accounts in the same Accounts Center. You can always download or access your information in settings. - Depending on your prompt, the images generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated images on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards. If you share generated images that go against our standards, your image may be removed and your account may be restricted or disabled. - If you have a voice conversation with Meta AI, your voice recording is initially available in your history temporarily. Your text transcript will remain available in your history. If you post your prompt with your voice, your voice recording will be available until you delete the post.
