Horizon Sharing Content Guidelines

Horizon Profile allows you to share your mixed/virtual reality experiences by posting content such as videos or photos. This content may also appear in Horizon Feed, a public space where people can view other people's posts along with other content. We want Horizon Profile and Feed to be an authentic and safe place for inspiration and expression, so we require our community to follow these guidelines when posting content. Overstepping these boundaries may result in deleted content, disabled accounts or other restrictions. For other types of content and conduct, please refer to our Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences.

  • Don't share unlawful or illegal content, and only share content that you have the right to use.
    Don't share content that sexually exploits children (including child sex abuse material) or adults, or offer sexual services. Don't share content that promotes or supports terrorism, criminal groups, hate groups or ideologies, violent organizations or the perpetrators of violent acts, or human exploitation (including human trafficking). Don't unlawfully facilitate the trade of regulated goods, and remember to only share intellectual property within the law.
  • Don't deceive others or promote harm.
    Don't engage in fraud and don't willfully deceive or mislead others. Don't share content that could cause serious harm to people, such as content containing specific threats to public or personal safety, coordinating harmful or criminal activity, encouraging suicide or self-injury, or gathering or sharing sensitive private information.
  • Do post content that is appropriate for a diverse audience.
    We know there are a variety of experiences in mixed/virtual reality, but we ask that you keep our public spaces safe by refraining from posting content that is excessively violent or graphic, or content that contains nudity.
  • Do respect other members of the community.
    To foster a welcoming and positive community, please don't post hate speech or content that targets private individuals to degrade or shame them, or attack someone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities or diseases. Do not spam others or engage in spam activities.

We may allow content where it is clear that the content is in the public interest, e.g. for educational, documentary, scientific or artistic purposes.

If you see something that may violate our guidelines, please help us by reporting the content. We may remove entire posts if either the imagery or associated text violates our guidelines. If your intellectual property was illegally used, you can file a copyright or trademark report.

You may find content that you don't like, but doesn't violate these guidelines. If that happens, you can block the person who posted it.

We may work with law enforcement, including when we believe there's risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.
