Use Meta AI on your organization-managed Meta Quest
Meta AI is an intelligent assistant that uses what people say and other data, including contents of images such as objects and texts, to respond to their requests.
You can use Meta AI on an organization-managed Meta Quest that’s in Individual Mode, provided your admin has enabled it.
To enable Meta AI in your managed device:
- In your headset, press
Meta button /
Oculus button on your right controller to open your universal menu.
- Select Library, then select Settings.
- Select Advanced.
- Under Experimental Features, select the toggle next to Meta AI.
- Review the information about Meta AI, then select Enable.
- By enabling, you agree to the Meta AI’s Terms of Service.

Review the information about Meta AI and your privacy, then select
Close
.
- Learn more about what data is used when you use Meta AI on your device.
- Choose whether you want to store voice recordings.
- Storing recordings helps Meta make voice conversations with Meta AI more accurate. Learn more in the privacy notice. You can delete or turn off recordings anytime in Settings and still use voice conversation with Meta AI to interact with your headset.
You can turn off Meta AI anytime in Experimental Features.
Use Meta AI
When you’ve turned on Meta AI, there are a few ways you can initiate Meta AI assistant such as:
- Double-pressing the Meta button on your controller
- Going to Quick settings in your headset
After initiating Meta AI assistant, you can:
- Have continuous conversations with Meta AI assistant.
- Continue to execute system commands. Responses will be voice only.
- Ask the assistant questions about what it sees in mixed reality (MR) experiences, such as panel content.

Note: If you are using an organization-managed Meta Quest, then you cannot contact support. However, you can report a problem on your device, which creates a bug report for your admin to review.
