Cancel your Meta One subscription

Meta One is currently in limited testing and isn’t available everywhere yet. The options you see may vary based on your location, account type, and what’s currently available in testing.

This article explains how to cancel your Meta One subscription, what to know before you cancel, and what happens to your benefits after you cancel.

Meta One is a paid subscription that adds extra features across different eligible Meta technologies such as Instagram and Facebook, depending on what’s available to your account. It includes multiple plans, each with its own pricing and benefits. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

What to know before you cancel Meta One

Review the following before you cancel your Meta One subscription:

  • Subscription stays active until your billing cycle ends: When you cancel Meta One, you keep access to your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing cycle. After your billing cycle ends, you lose access to all benefits.
  • No refunds for canceled subscriptions: If you cancel your subscription, you won't receive a credit or refund unless required by law.
  • Cancel from the same platform and account you used to subscribe: Your Meta One subscription is linked to the platform, device type, and Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase it. To cancel, use the same platform, device type, and account. If you use a different account, you may not see your subscription. If you purchased your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, follow that store's cancellation process.
  • Cancel before your next billing cycle to avoid future charges.

What happens if you cancel Meta One during a promotion

A promotion may be available when you first subscribe to Meta One.

If you don't cancel before the promotion ends, your subscription automatically renews at the monthly fee, unless prohibited by law.

If you cancel and re-subscribe to Meta One before the promotion ends, your original promotion end date will still apply. You won’t be charged until that date.

Cancel your Meta One subscription

You can cancel your Meta One subscription from your personal, business or professional account on the Facebook, Instagram or Meta AI mobile apps.

You can also cancel directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by managing your subscriptions in your store account settings.

To cancel your Meta One subscription:

  1. Open the Facebook mobile app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap Menu in the top left.
  3. Tap Settings & Privacy, then tap Settings.
  4. Tap Accounts Center.
  5. Tap Subscriptions, then tap Meta One.
  6. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Cancel subscription.
  7. Follow the prompts, then tap Complete cancellation.

To cancel your Meta One subscription:

  1. Open the Instagram mobile app and log in to your account.

  2. Tap Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.

  3. Tap Menu in the top right, then tap Accounts Center.
  4. Tap Subscriptions, then tap Meta One.
  5. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Cancel subscription.
  6. Follow the prompts, then tap Complete cancellation.

To cancel your Meta One subscription:

  1. Open the Meta AI mobile app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap Menu in the top left.
  3. Tap Settings in the bottom left.
  4. Tap Accounts Center.
  5. Tap Subscriptions, then tap Meta One.
  6. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Cancel subscription.
  7. Follow the prompts, then tap Complete cancellation.

Signing out of your account or deleting an app doesn't cancel your Meta One subscription. You must complete the cancellation steps to end your subscription.

You can also cancel directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by managing your subscriptions in your store account settings.

What happens after you cancel Meta One

After you cancel your Meta One subscription:

  • You'll receive a confirmation that your subscription is canceled.
  • Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • After your billing cycle ends, you lose access to your Meta One subscription benefits.
  • If you change your mind after you cancel, you can subscribe to Meta One again at any time.

Troubleshoot problems with canceling Meta One

If you have trouble canceling your Meta One subscription:

  • Make sure you're logged into the same account you used to subscribe.
  • Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase.
  • Make sure the app you're using (example: Meta AI, Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp) is updated to the latest version.
  • If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and don't see cancellation options from the Meta app you’re using (example: Facebook), cancel directly through your device’s app store.
