Delete remembered details about you on Meta AI

The Meta AI app and www.meta.ai website is not yet available everywhere. If the Meta AI app and www.meta.ai website are available for you, some features may not yet be available in your area.

While chatting with Meta AI on the Meta AI app or on Meta.ai, you can have it remember details about you. You can delete these details at any time. To delete a detail, you can prompt Meta AI to forget a detail. For example, “Forget that I’m a vegan.” You can also manage details saved to Meta AI Memory in your settings.

To delete details saved to Meta AI Memory in your Meta AI app settings

  1. Open the Meta AI app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the upper right.
  3. Tap Memory.
  4. From here you can either swipe left to delete a single detail or tap Manage to delete multiple details.
  5. If you choose Manage to delete multiple details, you can select multiple details to delete and then tap Trash in the bottom left.
  6. Tap Delete to confirm.

If you delete a detail that Meta AI saved about you, Meta AI may still reference it if you've recently chatted about it with Meta AI.

  • Other information from your profile such as your age and gender, and interests based on your activity across our products, such as the types of content, including ads, you view or interact with and how you interact with it, will be used to help personalize your interactions with AI.   • Depending on your prompt, the content generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated content on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards. If you share generated content that goes against our standards, your content may be removed and your account may be restricted or disabled.
