Collect headset logs for your Oculus Rift S

If something isn't working as expected with your Oculus Rift S or you're unable to install the Oculus software on your PC, collecting logs can help identify the problem.

To collect setup logs:

  1. From your PC, press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run window.
  2. In the Run window, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Oculus\ and press Enter.
  3. Locate the OculusSetup.log file and save it.

To collect logs from Oculus Diagnostics:

  1. Find your Oculus installation directory (C:\Program Files\Oculus if installed on the primary hard drive).
  2. Navigate to the Support file and then oculus-diagnostics.
  3. Select OculusLogGatherer and wait for the executable to appear.
  4. Select Get All Logs.

Once the log collection is finished, a .zip file containing the logs will be saved to your desktop.
